About Dr. Gonzalez
Dr. Gonzalez is a dedicated OB/GYN with over 25 years of experience serving families in Northern Virginia. A proud third-generation physician, he earned his medical degree from Howard University and has since attended over 10,000 births. For more than a decade, Dr. Gonzalez has been a steadfast supporter of Premier Birth Center, bringing his expertise and compassionate care to every patient he serves.
Fluent in both Spanish and English, Dr. Gonzalez delivers at Reston Hospital and not at the Birth Center. He lives in Lorton, VA with his wife Maria. Together, they have two children: Micaela, a counselor and social worker, and Diego, a Ph.D. candidate in Neurobiology.
Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Gonzalez is a history enthusiast and a passionate sports fan, always eager to engage in thoughtful conversation about either topic.

Will Premier Birth Center Patients Be Required To See Dr. Gonzalez?
No. If you are desiring a birth center experience with the midwives, you will complete all your care with the midwives and deliver at the birth center.
Does Dr. Gonzalez Deliver At The Birth Center?
No. Only the midwives will be attending births at the birth center
How Does Dr. Gonzalez Support Natural Birth?
He supports vaginal breech birth and vaginal twin deliveries (even if Baby B is non-vertex). He prioritizes vaginal birth over surgical birth and has a 7% C-section rate.
Does Dr. Gonzalez Accept Insurance?
